Location:  Westlake Branch - 2009 S Capital of Texas Hwy, Austin 78746

Directs the Retail Sales function at the branch level. Makes recommendations to the Senior Vice President of Operations with regards to design, implementation, and attainment of sales initiatives for member portfolio growth as well as department profitability and performance. Consistently develops the sales culture to ensure ongoing increased performance. Makes recommendations and implements new policy, procedure and performance goals for the financial sales and teller functions. Ensure branch facilities are operating efficiently and are well maintained. Coaches and directs the activities of the Branch Managers to ensure performance goals regarding staffing, productivity, and branch profitability are achieved and/or exceeded.

Focus on branch activity, recommend and implement methods to increase business, monitor quality performance of staff and equipment. Complete daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly audits and reports as requested by Senior Vice President of Operations and CEO. Ensure management staff is building relationships with local businesses and SEG's while identifying ways to increase branch growth. Work cooperatively with Branch Managers to help them achieve successful branch performance.

 

Duties:

 
  • Promote UHCU's culture, philosophy, values and standards ensuring quality and teamwork in all areas. Provide leadership to initiate change, influence others, build teams and represent the organizations values and goals.
  • Responsible for conducting regular meetings with financial services management staff providing for exchange on all issues.  Responsible for ensuing regular staff/sales meetings are conducted on a regular basis.
  • Actively build and communicate a sales culture environment emphasizing relationship and consultative sales including financial analysis; serve as a sales leader; develop sales leaders; provides guidance to Branch Managers in achieving established sales goals.
  • Ensures that the integrity of the Credit Union's information system is protected, assuring confidentiality of all information.
  • Assist in the Credit Union's strategic planning process, providing constructive input and ideas related to the long and short development of financial services and teller operations, as well as increased service to our membership and enhancement of the Credit Union's operations.
  • Ensure branch staffing is maintained and appropriate recruiting, selecting, and on boarding is achieved at the branch level.
  • Achieve market share by working with the Marketing Department and Senior Vice President of Operations and establishing promotion strategies.
  • Work cooperatively with the Senior Vice President of Operations to grow Business Deposit account portfolios.
  • Work cooperatively with the Senior Vice President of Operations to ensure compliance is ascertained across the board under all areas of responsibility.

Qualifications:

 
  • Bachelor of Business Administration or related field. Equivalent work experience may be acceptable at the discretion of management.
  • Minimum of 5 years of financial services and/or teller operations or branch operations management.
  • Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience, preferably in a financial institution.
  • Strong working knowledge of financial institution operation including knowledge of both financial services and teller operations.
  • Knowledge of sales oriented and cross selling activities.
  • Requires the ability to communicate effectively with members, co-workers, and the general public.
  • Ability to manage member conflict, communicate effectively, and research problems/accounts
  • Demonstrates the ability to establish, maintain, and enhance relationships across diverse groups of people.
  • Demonstrates the ability to collaboratively and supportively work with management to achieve business objective.
