The role of the Membership Systems Support Specialist is to provide iMIS support to association staff as needed. This job requires setting up and modifying the databases, maintaining and creating custom reports, training and pulling data. It is essential that this person have excellent customer relationship skills and can work with users to respond to and anticipate their needs.

Duties: |
The duties of the Membership Systems Support Specialist include:
Provide support and training to staff in the proper use of our membership database systems
Simple updates to the iMIS front-end database per user requests
Maintain and create custom reports for iMIS
Perform data pulls via SQL, Crystal or other report writing tool for staff as requested
Assist users with Informz data pulls from iMIS
Consult with staff and leaders on database requirements, make recommendations and setup the system and/or reports accordingly
Regularly assess and recommend ways to improve the database setup or output
Create guidelines and documentation to ensure consistency in the use of the database
Assist in the preparation of iMIS training courses

The job of the Membership Systems Support Specialist requires the following professional technical skills:
Strong iMIS knowledge (or equivalent Association Management System), both from the user interface and from the back-end database perspective
Solid general database understanding
Excellent Crystal Reports 9 knowledge
iMIS 15.x IQA knowledge a bonus
Ability to run moderately complex SQL queries using Transact-SQL 2005
Ability to prepare and conduct training for iMIS and MS Office products
Basic proficiency in HTML (hand-coded)
Education and Experience:
Bachelors degree
2-4 years using and/or supporting iMIS or equivalent Association Management System
1-3 years using and/or supporting Crystal Reports; knowledge of Microsoft Reporting Services a plus
HTML experience (hand-coded). Experience with iMIS e-Content Manager would be preferred.
