Branch Manager - Shawnee

Description:

Responsible for managing the day to day operation of the branch in line with established Credit Union policies; maintaining a high level of service for the membership; and serving as the financial and security representa¬tive for the Credit Union within the branch. Supervises branch personnel.

Duties:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

1. Develops and implements work methods and procedures for branch functions, and determines priorities and prepares schedules for work activities.

2. Resolves, or supervises the resolution of technical or administrative problems which occur in assigned areas of responsibility, and ensures that appropriate corrective action is initiated.

3. Assigns trains, and evaluates subordinate staff and recommends associated personnel actions to ensure the proper performance of the branch.

4. Serves as principal loan interviewer within the branch; assuring loans are processed through to central lending expeditiously and all documentation is complete and accurate.

5. Monitors control of cash, travelers checks, and savings bonds accepted for redemption; insures checks accepted for deposit are scanned and filed daily; periodically audits vault cash, teller cash drawers, and the petty cash fund.

6. Makes periodic visits to select employee groups promoting Credit Union services and serves as a primary contact for member comments.

7. Executes security procedures according to the Security Policy and takes necessary precautions to ensure maximum security is observed by the branch. Oversees janitorial services to ensure that the branch appearance is clean and professional at all times.

8. Serves as a backup to positions within the Branch and performs all functions on an "as required" basis.

Qualifications:

Proven ability to plan, organize and schedule work and to assess and determine the
resources necessary to meet Branch requirements as might normally be acquired through the
equivalent of at least four years of progressively more responsible experience related to a financial institution.

Effective interpersonal skills in working with financial institution personnel and supervising
subordinate personnel.
