Project: Research and Complete an “Opinion Letter” to the U.S. Department of Labor re FLSA
Namaste Solar is seeking a motivated, socially and environmentally conscious law student with a demonstrated interest in Labor and Employment Law. Namaste Solar is Colorado’s leading Solar PV integrator with business along the front-range. Our Legal Department is looking for an upcoming 3rd year law student to research and complete an “opinion letter” to the Department of Labor on behalf of Namaste Solar pertaining to FLSA exemption status. There will be ample opportunity to develop and hone legal writing skills. This intern will have the opportunity to delve into the structure of our business in order to complete the project.
We are looking for a student to commit to approximately an average of 10 hours per week (flexible depending on student’s schedule and project needs), to be spent flexibly between the office and remotely. We prefer that a student have their own laptop. Must work well independently, ample feedback will be given. A background in employment law and corporate law will be necessary.
Exemplary legal research and writing skills are a must as well as excellent oral communication skills.
