AVP, Infrastructure Architecture

Description:

Duties:

• Works on the most critical and complex projects that address a broad range of systems challenges, cross multiple domains and/or businesses, and are enterprise organization-wide, and require the highest level of technical expertise; vision, and technical knowledge.
• Participates in planning sessions for highly complex or critical systems with clients, database architects, application architects, and team members.
• Translates business and technical requirements into cross-discipline technology architectures and solution designs across multiple domains
• Influences the development of long-term technology strategy and planning for the entire organization
• Provides recommendations on system options, risks, cost/benefit analysis, and impact on cross-domain enterprise-wide organization-wide systems.
• Researches, analyzes and assesses advanced and emerging technology solutions in multiple technology domains.
• Examine and evaluate technology vendors and/or their hardware/software solutions for strategic fit into architectural framework.
• Understands the complexities of the organization enterprise, assists in cross-organization screening, and contributes to retention overall.
• Participates on, and provides technical leadership/ consulting to, project teams, performance analysis, design, development, integration, and maintenance of highly complex systems across the enterprise
• All other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• 6+ years of relevant technology architecture experience in a mission critical environment.
• Must be capable of leading an architecture assessment and developing a roadmap to migrate the technical architecture of a technology stack.
• Must have experience successfully leading complex technical engagements and teams, throughout the entire project lifecycle, with team sizes ranging from 10-25 cross-functional resources.
• Must have experience contributing hand-on to the development and problem solving of production applications with thousands of web based users.
• Computer Related Bachelor's preferred.
• Should have experience with Capacity Planning and Scalability related Architecture and Design. Working Experience with open source products(and community) required,
• Comfortable administering and tuning Unix (any flavor) environments, JVMs, shell scripting and looking through other people's code. Knowledge of Microsoft technologies stack in addition would be preferred.
