Description:

  • Monitor, evaluate, and design Metro service and corresponding service proposals.

Duties:

  • Develop service proposals for regular and special transit service, both new and existing, and prepare written service plans for both internal and external use.
  • Develop service plans using GIS software, tools, and techniques.
  • Collect, compile, and evaluate information for service proposals including projections of miles, hours, cost, ridership, and revenue changes.
  • Conduct public hearings and public meetings on service proposals.
  • Participate in agency and community task forces and on committees that require Metro representation.
  • Investigate and resolve service suggestions, issues, requests, and complaints generated by both customers and internal staff.
  • Develop and maintain destination sign and call point information; coordinate changes within the organization.
  • Develop routing, bus stop assignments, and transfer connection data to ensure customer trip planning accuracy.
  • Review public ride guides for accuracy and completeness.
  • Coordinate quarterly charter service reporting to FTA.
  • Develop and implement standards and strategies to meet or exceed organization, department, and staff performance goals and objectives, monitor results, recognize accomplishments, and oversee continuous improvement.
  • Model, facilitate and encourage exemplary internal and external customer service, open communication, collaboration, participation, and professional development of staff.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree (4-year college or university) in related field.
  • 2 to 4 years related experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft work environment including word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, internet, and email.
  • Proficiency with GIS software applications.
  • Working knowledge of automated planning and scheduling applications preferred.
  • Knowledge of and/or experience in transit environment preferred.
