Duties: |
Job Description
Assist the DNA Vector Production team in DNA analysis and cloning. Duties include, but are not limited to, performing preparative and diagnostic restriction enzyme digestions and DNA fragment purification.
Ensure all the lab procedures are performed in accordance with the approved SOPs.
Perform preparative and diagnostic restriction enzyme digests of DNA.
Set-up diagnostic and preparative PCR.
Perform purification of DNA fragments.
Set up and calibrate laboratory equipment as required.
Assist manager with project data input and tracking.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Maintain a flexible work schedule as required.

Qualifications: |
Job Requirements
Education: BS in Molecular biology, Biology, Biochemistry or related discipline.
Experience: Two three years of laboratory experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
Other Minimum Qualifications:
BS in Molecular biology, Biology, Biochemistry or related discipline with 2-3 years of laboratory experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
Experience working in a laboratory setting
Experience with DNA and molecular cloning methods preferred.
Ability to efficiently manage tasks and to adjust rapidly to changing experimental priorities.
Maintain experimental consistency.
Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
Ability to achieve in a milestone-driven, rapidly changing environment.
Possess a high degree scientific integrity and personal responsibility
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
