BASi Northwest Laboratories, a division of BASi, has an opportunity for the position of Analyst.
BASi provides contract analytical laboratory services for the international pharmaceutical industry. Bioanalytical Systems, Inc. (BASi) is an international pharmaceutical development company headquartered in West Lafayette, IN. We are involved in research to benefit human and animal health care and operate facilities in Oregon, Indiana, and the United Kingdom. The position described below is based in our research and development facility in McMinnville, Oregon, about 1 hour SW of Portland and 1 hr North of Corvallis. This division is involved in bioanalytical chemistry using LC-MS/MS following US FDA regulations.

Duties: |
A partial list of the duties and responsibilities of this position are listed below:
*Perform chemical analysis using validated analytical procedures in biological matrices such as blood, plasma and urine.
*Perform and document analytical results and general laboratory work to FDA regulatory requirements.
*Operate sensitive analytical instruments such as HPLCs and mass spectrometers.
*Troubleshoot method and instrument problems
*Write technical reports and Standard Operating Procedures.
*Communicate with clients, other staff members and management.
*Maintain confidential information.
*Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: |
| The successful candidate will have a BS or MS in chemistry or closely related science with 2-5 years of direct laboratory experience including chromatographic science and analytical chemistry, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry or in an analytical laboratory. The candidate must be self-motivated and possess excellent communication skills. Strong computer skills and an above average attention-to-detail focus are required. |
