Description: |
Serve as assistant coach of the softball program, operating under NCAA bylaws. The part-time assistant to the head coach will assist with all aspects of training the student-athletes for athletic competition.

Duties: |
Assist head coach in various, day-to-day duties as directed by the Head Coach, such as but not limited to organizing, preparing, conducting, and evaluating individual and team practices, training, and competition.
Provide guidance and assistance to student-athletes on a range of athletic, academic and personal issues, as required.
Assist with practice sessions and game competitions, ensuring all appropriate safety guidelines and standards are maintained.
Provide additional assistance in the coordination and administration of the program.
Comply with all rules and regulations as stated in the Coaches Handbook.
The above duties are expected of the assistant softball coach. In addition, this individual is expected to support and maintain the rules applied by the Head Coach and the Athletic Director.

Qualifications: |
| CPR certification, Community First Aid and Safety certification required.
Bachelor's degree required and Master's degree preferred in related field.
College level playing career preferred.
Coaching license or equivalent coaching experience required.
Valid driver's license required.
Must be able to work closely with the head softball coach, student-athletes and DePauw University community.
Sensitivity to individuals of diverse cultural backgrounds and a commitment to a diverse community.
Good communication skills.
