Description: | 80 hours per pay period. Exempt position.
RN License required. | Duties: | | Functions as a leader in health care and as a part of the health care team. Responsible for the coordination of Emergency Department unit functions. Responsible for the preparation and management of the unit budget in cooperation with the Chief Financial Officer and Chief Nursing Officer. Responsible for development and coordination of unit QA activities. Responsible for proper utilization of Human Resources. Assists with the development of the nursing department and hospital wide strategic planning and follow through. | Qualifications: | Education: Graduation from an accredited nursing program with Bachelor of Science Degree with appropriate management experience.
Training and Experience: A Master of Nursing preferred or masters in another health/business related field acceptable. BCLS certified, ACLS within one year, and TNCC within one year.
Job Knowledge: Encompasses a wide range of nursing, psycho-social and medical information which includes nursing process, communications and problem-solving, assessment and prioritizing skills.
