Description: |
The candidate’s primary responsibility will be the hands on development of an integrated architecture. This will be accomplished by analyzing existing architecture artifacts and/or through the collection, organization, and management of IT architecture information - in the context of present and future architectures. The candidate will also develop processes for the collection of the data and maintain the data utilizing existing tools. In addition, the candidate’s responsibilities will also include the development of solution architectures for presentation before design meetings.
The candidate will also develop transition plans, integrated schedules, and provide data in response to downward directed Congressional, SECNAV, and SECDEF reporting requirements.

Duties: |
Required:
• Extensive hands on experience with SYSCOM Architectural Development & Integration Environment (SADIE) and System Architect, and extensive knowledge of DoDAF best practices
• Experience in documenting heterogeneous enterprise architectures
• Hands on system engineering experience
• Experience with database architecture solutions
• Experience in developing Enterprise Transition Plans and Integrated Schedules
• Experience with Intelligence Community, DoD, and Navy IT reporting requirements to include DITPR, DITPR DON, and DADAMS
• Ability to work comfortably and effectively with operational users and sponsors, project managers, and software engineers and the ability to communicate effectively with developers, project management, and end users
Desirable Skillset:
• Ability to relate to non-technical users in a user friendly manner.
• Knowledge and exposure to currently deployed US Navy and Intelligence Community systems.
• Experience with interoperability Enterprise Architectural standards
• Exposure to UML design constructs (Use Cases and Class diagrams

Qualifications: |
Experience: Must have 5 years of related experience.
Education: Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering (or related discipline) with 5 years experience in software development, or Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Engineering (or related discipline) with 7 years experience in software development.
