Description: |
DePauw University seeks a highly creative, energetic individual to take primary responsibility for all aspects of Information Technology for the Office of Admission and Financial Aid. This person will serve as the Admission and Financial Aid liaison to the Office of Information Technology for all issues related to technology and social media software. On average, 75% of this person's work will be spent on developing an implementing Information Technology for Admission and Financial Aid, and 25% of this person's work will be dedicated to recruitment and enrollment.
In addition, this person will manage a small recruitment territory; travel to high schools and college fairs meeting with students, parents, school counselors and alumni; interview candidates for admission and present group information sessions on and off campus; read applicant files and make admission recommendations; plan and conduct appropriate follow-up activities off-campus for prospects, parents, school counselors and alumni to meet enrollment goals; and assist with office and program projects as assigned. Some weekend and evening work will be required.

Duties: |
Other specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
evaluate business processing to identify opportunities to leverage new emerging information technology to meet admission and financial aid goals. Specifically developing and implementing strategies using such technologies as Facebook, Twitter, Flicker and YouTube.
manage admission-related information technologies to meet admission and enrollment goals. Specifically developing and implementing strategies using such technologies as Cappex, Zinch, Hobson's EMT softwares, and personalized admitted student portals.
manage Information Technology student interns.
continual developments and enhancements to the admission and financial aid office website.

Qualifications: |
| A bachelor's degree is required with preference given to candidates who have a degree in computer science, information systems, or related field. Previous admission/financial aid experience highly preferred, but not required. Experience with databases (including SQL writing experience), reporting tools, data analysis and business processing tasks desired. Also experience with CSS, Java, C++, Flash and other computer science/programming software highly preferred. The successful candidate will possess strong initiative, be organized, analytical, detail oriented, be able to hold self accountable for assignments and goals, be a skilled manager with strong written and oral communication skills, and must be comfortable interacting with a variety of people, be able to think creatively about recruitment and marketing, be a capable team player, and be committed to the value of a liberal arts education. A valid driver's license is also required. |
