About Intrexon:
Intrexon Corporation is developing DNA control systems to enhance the safety and efficacy of existing and novel biological therapeutics. The company’s technology employs special genetic components and activator compounds to tightly control the delivery, targeting, activation, regulation, and location of biologics. The goal of such DNA-mediated control is to improve the safety of those biologics while extending their clinical effectiveness.

The company is currently engaged in clinical and pre-clinical studies related to solid tumor cancers and other intractable diseases that must be addressed with powerful biotherapeutic strategies. Together with its partners, Intrexon is committed to improving safety and clinical outcomes through the use of controllable biotherapeutics.

Duties:

Job Description
Assist the Vector Production team for DNA analysis and cloning. Duties include, but are not limited to, performing preparative and diagnostic restriction digestions and DNA purification.
• Perform DNA mini-preps.
• Perform DNA maxi-preps.
• Execute bacterial cell transformations.
• Set up PCR reactions.
• Perform DNA preparative and diagnostic restriction digests.
• Set up and calibrate laboratory equipment.
• Assist manager with project data input and tracking.
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Job Requirements
Education: BS in Molecular Biology, Biology, Biochemistry or related discipline.

Experience: Experience with DNA, molecular biology, and microbiology methods preferred. Experience working in a laboratory setting.

• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
