Description:

Wiser, a leading engineering, geospatial, and architectural firm is experiencing rapid growth and is now seeking top-notch talent to join our successful teams. Currently, we are recruiting for a Geospatial Software Engineer in St. Louis. This position will involve developing geospatial software applications and tools for internal and external customers.

Duties:

  • Develop custom geospatial software applications in support of customer missions.
  • Interface with clients to ensure a consistent and high level of satisfaction is maintained.
  • Assist with developing of software requirements and the design of software.
  • Perform software testing and quality assurance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer engineering, computer science, or geospatial fields is required.
  • Previous experience with at least one major geospatial platform is required (ESRI, Socet Set, ERDAS, RemoteView, etc.)
  • Experience developing software in a commercial or government setting using C, C++, or C#.
  • GIS or ASPRS certification is preferred.
  • Development with ESRI ArcObjects is preferred.
  • Knowledge of common DoD and commercial mapping products is preferred.
  • Strong ability to multitask between different projects.
  • Must be able to adjust to unexpected changes in work demands.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and professionally with external clients as well as internal personnel.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to work well with a team.
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

      Physical Activities of the Job. This job requires the following physical activities: Climbing (stairs), stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing and repetitive motions.
      Visual Acuity Requirements of the Job. This job meets the minimum standards for use with those whose work deals largely with computer operations at distances close to the eyes.
      Physical Requirements of the Job. Sedentary work involving sitting much of the time.
      Environmental Conditions of the Job. None: The employee is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions.
