Description: |
The Business Analyst translates business requests into development blueprints by defining product requirements, defining product features and capabilities, building business cases, recommending approaches to streamline development or re-use software, and writing use cases. The role includes analysis of existing operations to identify key unsolved business problems, developing functional gap analyses and creating innovative solutions to these problems. This position is tasked with anticipating business and technical obstacles while at the same time providing solutions that provides leverage to the internal technology customer.

Duties: |
- Translate client and internal business project requests into requirements for the technology organization to use for software and test case development.
- Build use cases, Visio diagrams, written requirements, wire frames, screen shots and business cases to facilitate clarity on project outcomes.
- Work with a broad array of internal and external customers to provide clarity on requirements and expectations.
- Facilitate inter-departmental communication to resolve open questions and issues and provide documentation of decisions for action by project management.
- Analyze usability, systems performance along business performance metrics and generate proposals for solutions to improve consumer experience and or business performance.
- Support ‘scoping’ discussions to highlight tradeoffs between delivery dates, functionality, quality and cost.
- Prioritize projects and effort by balancing organizational, client and financial prioritiest.
- Making sure that the right features get built in the right order and at the right time.
- Communicating the product benefits, features and target markets, and in general championing projects with internal teams such as sales, marketing, support and executives.
- A disposition toward ‘action’ to make sure things get done.
- Work closely with development managers to assure requirements are clear and complete.
- Be responsive to internal customer requests for clarification, definition or additional information when projects are in flight.

Qualifications: |
- Previous experience as a Business Analyst, Product Manager, Marketing Analyst, or
- Development Analyst in an enterprise software or web services company. Consumer oriented solution preferred.
- Industry specific experience in at least one of the following areas preferred: consumer payments, telecommunication services, e-commerce.
- Excellent ability to recognize complex problems and create innovative solutions. Ability to apply analytic and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal). Excellent interpersonal, collaborative, leadership, and consensus-building skills. Ability to be responsive and persuasive to all levels of the organization.
- Superior verbal, written, interpersonal and presentation skills in both internal and external interactions.
- Acts with a sense of urgency to assess requirements and produce quality results.
- Budgeting and financial analysis experience.
- Ability to formulate and communicate key priorities that guide and focus the efforts of others.
- Exhibit self starting work ethic that co-workers respect and admire. Ability and willingness to work long, flexible hours as needed to deliver success for our customers.
- Requires 4-10 years of experience in product development. Assertive, dynamic, energetic, and good sense of humor for collaborating, facilitating and motivating.
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, informal, high-energy environment.
- Excellent academic credentials including at least a B.A. or B.S., MBA preferred.
- High level proficiency with MS Office tools.
- Ability to communicate key ideas, concepts, and summarize information in a concise and professional manner.
