This candidate will interface with B2B to review the strategies and methods used in the current development of the H.264 encoder, including the pre-processing stages, and to provide further optimizations for the targeted embodiments.
The candidate is intimately familiar with architecture specific optimizations such as e.g. x86 intrinsics (SSE2/3/4), GPGPU / OpenGL, or CUDA. You will contribute your experience in this field to the development, resulting in a best-in-class implementation of video processing technologies.

Duties: |
Contributing to productizing efforts to implement video technology
Adaptation, optimization, and implementation of video pre-processing algorithms on DSPs, and x86 SIMD and multi-core architectures
Meticulous in design detail, reliability, and performance of video on various platforms
Maintain the highest technical and moral integrity in the workplace and marketplace
Provide excellent example to the engineering workforce

Qualifications: |
Canidate will have a minimum of 5 years of C/C++ development experience coupled with strong object oriented design skills under a Linux and Windows development environments. You have multi-threaded design and development experience, and basic knowledge of networking and media streaming. You are creative, have strong problem solving ability, good verbal and written communications skills, experience with consumer software applications.
Skills, Education, and Experience Required
Minimum of +5 years of product development experience with BS degree, or +3 years with MS degree, in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or computer science
In-depth understanding of post processing algorithms including implementation aspects
Solid knowledge in H.264 standards and the implementation of these in consumer products
Intimately familiar with architecture specific optimizations such as e.g. x86 intrinsics (SSE2/3/4), GPGPU / OpenGL, or CUDA
At least 8 years experience in video processing related software and systems development on ARM and MIPS based cores or DSPs used in multiple SOC ICs typically found in consumer products
Alternatively, at least 5 years experience in video processing related software and systems development on x86 or GPU based applications
Expert in Windows and Linux development environments, and best practice in large-scale development projects
At least 5 years experience in development of consumer products that proceeded to production for consumption by consumers in retail market chains such as Best Buy, Circuit City and similar retailers
