Description:

Responsible for personnel functions including staffing, compensation, benefits administration and EEOC, on a Regional basis. A provider of revenue cycle management and software services for physicians and hospitals, and provides business solutions to healthcare providers in a variety of specialties. We currently have over 225 employees working at four office locations (Scottsdale, San Antonio, Shreveport, Portland and Chicago) and two datacenter colocations. This description is intended to provide only basic guidelines for meeting job requirements. Responsibilities, knowledge, skills, abilities and working conditions may change as needs evolve.

Duties:

Ensures the development of departmental plans, goals, mission, policies/procedures and budget. Ensures selection, training, monitoring and evaluation of departmental staff. Develops/implements HR plan for offices including recruitment, selection, promotion/transfer, orientation, compensation administration and labor relations in collaboration with management team. Educates/advises administrative and clinical managers on personnel issues including termination, labor disputes and morale. Maintains/monitors records of worker's compensation, EEO, ADA, FMLA, unemployment and other employee claims. Reviews exit interview data. Recommends changes to policy and training to ensure compliance with laws and regulations or to enhance efficiency and productivity. Practices open-door policy to encourage employees to discuss grievances. Facilitates peer-to-peer and employee-manager discussion/mediations. Recommends and facilitates employee recognition efforts and events. Ensures employee assistance is available for emergency relief. The job holder must demonstrate current competencies applicable to job position.

Qualifications:

QUALIFICATIONS: PROFESSIONAL: Minimum of three years progressively responsible HR positions. Knowledge of federal and state employment/labor laws and policies and procedures. Knowledge of how to conduct wage/salary and employee satisfaction surveys; to mediate personnel grievances/disputes; to analyze human resources data for critical indicators. Knowledge of compensation/benefits administration. Relevant college courses (degree is preferred). PHR certification is a plus. PERSONAL: Skill in staying abreast with the state-of-art in employment, labor, compensation and government regulations related to personnel. Skill in gathering/analyzing objective and subjective data on personnel matters and facilitation resolution. Skill in advising/educating managers on best HR practices including employee training, motivation, development and discipline/termination. Typing at 45 wpm and proficiency in Word and Excel, basic HTML is a plus. Ability to motivate others. Ability to work with minimal supervision. Detail oriented. Highly motivated self-starter. Organized, ability to set priorities and meet deadlines. Possesses excellent verbal and written communication skills and able to communicate information effectively to employees, management and others. Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with employees, management, clients and the public. Able to exercise initiative, judgment, discretion and decision-making to achieve organizational objectives. Must deal professionally with highly confidential information. Must demonstrate behavior consistent with those identified as PracticeMax core value behaviors. ABILITIES: Ability to role model effectively with many types of people at all levels. Ability to direct the best use of the human resources management information system in reporting statistics. Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal form. WORKING CONDITIONS: Primarily office setting. Some out of state travel required. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Sitting 6-8 hours/day. Can experience severe stress related to tense employees and critical HR decisions. Requires use of computer equipment. Lift at least 20 lbs. Standing, sitting, stooping, bending and walking. Manual dexterity for using a calculator and computer keyboard.
