Description: | Commercial Lending Credit Analyst
Member Business Financial Services, L.L.P. (MBFS), a commercial loan servicing company, is looking for a Sr. Credit Analyst. This position is responsible for promoting or ensuring the growth of a strong commercial loan portfolio.

| Duties: | Responsibilities:
•Evaluate, underwrite and recommend approval or decline of Commercial and Industrial loans, Owner Occupied Real Estate loans and Investment or Development Real Estate loan credit requests within the limits of approved authority generated by authorized Commercial Calling Officers, Relationship Managers and Commercial Loan Participations from approved sources.
•Analyze and interpret simple and complex accountant prepared, compiled, reviewed or audited business financial statements and/ or tax returns and personal financial statement and / or tax returns; statement spreads; and other financial information in order to determine the feasibility of prospective borrowers and provide recommendations for further consideration of request.
•Prepare detailed analysis of personal and business assets for collateral valuation and determine total loan to value calculations within Member Business Loan Policy Guidelines.
•Identify strengths and weaknesses of underlying credit requests through balance sheet and income statement analysis, ratio analysis, and cash flow analysis.
•Create Credit Memorandums and ensure detailed accuracy and maintain quality control and integrity of the data contained in the Credit Memorandum.
•Assess, profile, and analyze small to middle market businesses’ (Sales $500k - $10MM) financial needs and prepare customized loan packages of financial products.
•Establish and negotiate the terms under which credit will be extended, including the costs, repayment method, and collateral requirements. | Qualifications: | Requirements:
•Bachelor’s Degree in business, finance, or accounting.
•Five years experience in reading, analyzing, and interpreting simple and complex financial data and credit memorandum preparation required.
•Requires proficiency in the use of credit spreading analysis software, Word, and Excel programs.
•Knowledge of small business and consumer loan policy; credit granting criteria, interest rates and how they are computed, and required documentation for each type of loan.
•Excellent written and oral communication skills are required. Excellent loan interviewing skills and techniques required.
•Ability to work in a fast paced environment and within established SLA’s.
•Formal credit training is helpful but not required. |
