Description:

Cementation USA, Inc. is looking for an experienced Project Controls Specialist. Following are some general responsibilities associated with this position:

Duties:

• Compile baseline schedules for mine development and construction; track and make necessary changes to schedules, as required
• Subdivide larger schedules into shorter terms or subprojects for easier management and tracking
• Establish, track, and report Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
• Establish, implement, and maintain earned value reporting procedures
• Track actual costs of construction activities and compare them to the budgeted costs for each work section, and use this data to forecast cost to completion
• Compare actual and budgeted percentage completion to date
• Make schedule forecasts and notify management of problem areas or changes that affect the critical path
• Prepare estimates for evaluating the cost of scope changes to the contract
• Assist in new project contract formation and administration
• Maintain correspondence for invoicing, including cash flow forecasting and checking for completeness and compliance
• Perform contract administration functions including preparing tender documents, requests for proposals, addendums, bid openings, evaluations, change management, financial reports, and closeout reports


Qualifications:

• Degree in construction management, business management or equivalent experience
• 7+ years experience in project control/management and/or mine plant management
• PMP Certified, Strongly Preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Project and Primavera scheduling software
• Thorough knowledge of all aspects of the mine engineering, development, procurement, construction, project controls and financials; including managing complex projects, taking corrective action, monitoring work, and coordinating aspect of field operations
• Experience in reviewing and challenging contractor cost control reports, benchmarking and development of cost risk analysis procedures
• Practical knowledge of internal auditing
• Ability to communicate and implement recommendations to management, clients and workforce
