Description: | | The Service Technician is responsible for the promotion, sale, and technical support of Seco Tools Inc. products to end-users and authorized distributors within his or her assigned territory. The Service Technician will report to the Regional Manager, however, day-to-day activities will be coordinated by the assigned Technical Specialist(s) whose focus will be to develop the necessary skills for the individual to be successful in the field sales organization. The Service Technician is to professionally represent Seco Tools Inc. with all commercial contacts and is specifically responsible for supporting activity to develop new profitable business while maintaining the territory's existing business. | Duties: | Work with his or her assigned Technical Specialist(s) in setting realistic and challenging operational goals.
Periodically prepare and implement supporting work plans.
Assist in maintaining existing Seco product sales to end customers through proper attention and service.
Assist in the development and execution of area and in-plant training programs for customers which will include the preparation and presentation of talks, visual aids, product demonstrations, problem discussions and specific plans to help customers improve their productivity through the purchase of Seco Products.
Conduct detailed testing using various analytical tools. Make well founded recommendations to improve productivity and eliminate cost.
| Qualifications: | Good oral and written communication skills
Knowledge of manufacturing engineering methods is required.
1-2 years of CNC machining experience in metalcutting applications.
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite.
Demonstrated problem solving skills required.
Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering degree required, or demonstrated progress toward completion of degree.
