BigMachines, Inc., a profitable, rapidly growing web software company (www.bigmachines.com) founded in 2000, is in search of talented software implementation engineers. The company has been growing over 50% per year, is led by a strong management team, and backed by strong financial investors who are looking to accelerate the company’s growth to the next level.

The primary role of a Sales Engineer is to assist BigMachines sales representatives in all technical aspects of the sales cycle: includes software demonstrations, custom demo builds and support and statement of work development. To summarize, the Solution Architect plays an important role in establishing, developing and maintaining the technical relationship to the customer, in close concert with the sales representative.

Duties:

• Support sales team during sales process on the technical aspects of the BigMachines software
• Perform demos of the BigMachines application to prospective customers that address their business needs
• Assist sales reps in on-site breakthrough opportunity analysis process; a business mapping and requirement definition process
• Ability to understand the business needs of a customer, relate them to functionality within BigMachines and develop a project implementation scope and plan.
• Refine project scope into a statement of work with professional service fees, to be included in contract to customer
• Provide post-sales support and smooth transition from sales process to professional services team

Qualifications:

• Ability to address the business needs of a prospective customer in a sales environment while having an in depth technological knowledge of BigMachines software
• Understanding of integration between BigMachines application and partner applications
• Strong technical ability combined with the ability to effectively communicate well at all organizational levels
• Excellent presentation and customer facing skills
• Excellent written communications and quantitative skills, specifically related to proposal, RFP/RFQ writing
• High level of energy, persistence, discipline and strong desire to do whatever it takes to win

Desired Experience:
• 3-5 years of software technology experience with web-based e-Business applications; preference to applicants with experience in Sales Engineer, Pre-Sales, Solution Architect, Professional Services or Project Management roles
• Experience in business process improvement is helpful
• BS/BA from a reputable college or university; MBA helpful
