Description: | | Performs various resident care activities and related non-professional services necessary in caring for the personal needs and comfort of the residents. | Duties: | Job Knowledge and Role Responsibilities:
Demonstrates knowledge of age specific developmental factors specific to adult and geriatric residents (i.e. physical, cognitive, and socialization factors) in planning delivery of care.
Provides nursing care in accordance with Resident Care Policies and Procedures and ensures the safety and well-being of the residents is maintained.
Acts appropriately under the direction of the Charge Nurse and acts as an active member of the interdisciplinary team.
Demonstrates ability to adjust to changes in unit/shift assignments to meet resident and facility needs.
Demonstrates knowledge of the Quality Improvement process.
Demonstrates knowledge of and complies with the Code of Conduct and Compliance Program when performing work functions.
| Qualifications: | High School Degree and previous Long Term Care Nursing Assistant experience preferred.
Successfully completes facility conducted orientation, mandatory training and in-service programs.
Meets health assessment requirements, including Mantoux skin test.
Is listed on the State Nurse Aide Registry.
Possesses a current (not expired or lapsed) Nurse Aide Certification.
Has no findings of resident abuse, mistreatment, neglect, or misappropriation of resident property listed on the registry.
Has documentation provided by the State registry regarding numbers 4, 5, and 6 above in the personnel employee file.
Must be capable of performing the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Must be able to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing and possess sufficient communication skills to perform the tasks required.
