| The Leadership Trainee participates in cross functional projects under the guidance of a designated mentor in an effort to develop people for Supervisor/management positions throughout the company. Participants will be involved in cross training activities to develop their vision and understanding of corporate and plant processes and goals. This position is designed to cover for absences of other team members at the designated shift & location(s). |
Duties: |
| Coordinate projects as designated by mentor to increase understanding of company operations and corporate processes or to improve a process or procedure. May involve committee participation and exposure to areas outside of the plant environment. Develop leadership & supervisory skills through participation in educational opportunities such as seminars, GNP Leadership Training Program and other ongoing training events. Develop understanding of financial & cost accounting reports and how areas may impact numbers positively or negatively. Fill in for supervisor/manager positions as needed for vacation or other absences. Expand knowledge of processes and procedures company-wide (people & production). Observe & enforce all company policies. |
Qualifications: |
| Strong working knowledge of poultry production processing techiques and methods; one to three years of previous experience required. High school diploma required; bachelors degree in management or related field preferred or willing to obtain. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Strong ability to analyze and resolve complex management skills. Excellent conflict management and problem solving skills. Demonstrated ability to effectively work with others to identify and capitalize on opportunities that result in successful implementation of changes for the benefit of the business. |
