Job Purpose:
Identifies and helps to develop strategic relationships with content and technological partners. Works with marketing, sales, and product development teams to implement business development initiatives, winning new business though the offering of Apto Solutions Asset Recovery Solutions. | Duties: | Key aspects of the associated responsibilities include:
Preparation of presentation and marketing materials for professional meetings, industry trade shows, and conferences.
Initiating and conducting presentations, face to face meetings, and extensive conference calls.
Creating a traceable touch system to ensure follow-up on all partnership activity
Tracking, documenting, and status reporting of all collaborations along the business development pipeline. Developing key metrics and system of accountability.
Full integration of company CRM system into organization of opportunities and contacts; log all interactions into company CRM.
Interacting with existing corporate contacts, facilitating communication, keeping track of milestones and identifying scope for enhancing these relationships.
Setting goals with respect to each relationship.
Negotiation of contracts and transactional opportunities between organizations.
This position is also responsible for building deep relationships with OEMs/Finance Organizations and other business organizations that look to this person as their go to asset recovery or trade-in solutions provider.
Key aspects of the associated responsibilities include:
Performing market research, analyzing new market opportunities and generally pursuing new business opportunities.
Identifying, evaluating, and pursuing the strategic and financial prospects of new market opportunities.
Actively searching for new business and maintaining current client relationships in the form of calls, visits, etc.
Generating new business opportunities using advertising campaigns, mailing lists, outbound calls, email campaigns, and personal contacts.
Developing end user territories and building relationships with potential end user companies.
Additional Sales Responsibilities
The position also includes generating cash for the business and assisting Account Executives with certain opportunities while continuing to develop future business as described above. The individual in this role must be able to manage sales and business development efforts concurrently. Sales responsibilities may include:
Developing and maintaining relationships to facilitate the sale of hardware from various accounts.
Maintaining comprehensive knowledge of Midrange to High End Server Equipment, including Sun Microsystems. Candidate must have experience selling to enterprise customers.
Assisting Client Executives with distinct opportunities by providing solid secondary market valuations.
| Qualifications: | Experience working with a Technology OEM (i.e. Avaya, IBM, Dell, Cisco, HP, etc.)
At least 10 years sales and or business development experience, with 4 years in a senior management position.
Ability to plan and manage at both the strategic and operational levels.
Solid working knowledge of budgeting, sales, business development, and strategic planning.
Ability to generate respect and trust from staff and external constituencies.
A 4 year degree, preferably in business.
