Description:

Provide exceptional service to the member by processing requested transactions, providing accurate information, and assessing member needs for appropriate referrals.

CORE COMPENTENCIES
• Subscribe to the Credit Union philosophy.
• Provide professional service to the members.
• Cross sell other credit union services.
• Perform transactions as requested by members to include: Deposits, Withdrawals, Transfers, Payments, Statement Prints, etc.
• Open new products to include: Time Deposit , Money Market, and club accounts.
• Close accounts as requested.
• Ensure consistent implementation of Hold Policy.
• Utilize loss prevention measures to minimize losses including the review of all negotiable instruments involved in transactions.
• Perform Mail transaction requests to include posting payrolls for SEGs.
• Perform Night Depository functions in a timely manner.
• Assist and perform administrative functions to include: Indexing of documents, Microfilming, Fund Transfers (wires), ATM balancing, Travelers Check transmissions and Office Balancing.
• Monitor and maintain reception area to include up to date service information.
• Assist Cash Department Supervisor in attaining monthly departmental goals.
• Other duties as requested.

• Provide support to other staff in Member Services Department as needed.
• Performs other duties as directed or needed.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY

Knowledge of and ability to communicate effectively. Knowledge of financial products and services. Manual coordination to operate computer keyboard . Ability to think, soothe irate members, communicate with the members quickly and accurately in a pleasing manner. Ability to work effectively as a team member sharing duties and responsibilities and ensuring daily completion.

Qualifications:

EDUCATION OR FORMAL TRAINING

High school diploma or equivalent.

EXPERIENCE

Cash handling experience. Previous Tellering experience preferred.
