Description:

 

Primarily responsible for developing and implementing marketing communications campaigns  and projects for external and internal audiences that align with, support and enhance the goals and objectives of DDOK; Will administer both internal and external communications programs, corporate newsletters, HTML email programs and web content.  Will also coordinate special projects/events and sponsorship activities and  provide support in community relations planning.  Works closely with management and other internal groups and individuals; handles media initiatives and written communications to a variety of constituents; interacts with internal personnel, outside vendors and community organizations;

 

 

Duties:

 

  1. Maintain accurate and updated information on the DDOK website for various constituents to include; product information, videos, web banner ads, events, news releases, etc.
  2. Plan, research, interview, write, prepare review, proofread and edit articles / news releases to be used in DDOK publications to numerous key constituents. Distribute content for electronic and print communications to include HTML emails, E-newsletters, printed materials, and marketing materials.
  3. Support offline DDOK marketing initiatives by assisting in the preparation and coordination of promotional and marketing literature within allotted departmental budgets.
  4. Maintain a repository of news releases and articles. Develop story logs and editorial calendars and procure related artwork or photos.
  5. Participate as needed in the set-up / preparation / communications for all DDOK events.
  6. Participate as needed in the development and distribution of periodic constituent satisfaction surveys.
  7.  Assist other members of DDOK staff as necessary.

 

Qualifications:

 
  1. Bachelor's degree (B. A.) or equivalent
  2. Four to six years of proven communications experience.
  3. Previous dental or healthcare-related experience preferred.
  4. Advanced knowledge of Communications, Journalism, Public Relations and Crisis Communications.
  5. Advanced knowledge of researching, writing and editing and media relations.
  6. Excellent organization and planning skills.
  7. Excellent interpersonal and communications skills.
  8. Familiarity with supporting software applications (Photoshop, InDesign, Adobe Illustrator).
  9. Ability to communicate complicated concepts and technical data in simple terms.
