Position Description & Responsibilities:
bswift is currently seeking an experience EDI Project Manager for a full time position with our headquarters in Chicago, IL. The primary objective for this position is to coordinate the setup of electronic eligibility feeds and payroll deduction files between the bswift system and other outside vendors. As part of these data interchange implementations, the EDI Project Manager oversees the progress of multiple connections and answers questions from outside contacts and internal team members. Specific responsibilities include:
• Coordinate project activities and tasks with the customer’s project team and the 3rd party vendor(s)
o Conduct kickoff call
o On-going status reporting
• Coordinate the feed building activities, either by personally building the feed using web-based tools or by managing in-house developers.
• Perform testing of feeds and schedule production delivery upon test completion.

Qualifications:

Prerequisite/Essential Skills:
• Project management experience, preferably in a similar field
• Knowledge of project planning and control disciplines.
• Strong social and interpersonal skills
• Strong problem solving and written and verbal communications skills, with proven ability to work directly with customers at both the technical and business level.
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Strong organization skills
• Diligent documentation habits
• Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Visio)
• Strong technical aptitude

Desired Qualifications
• 2+ years of experience in creating and deploying EDI solutions involving data transformation, including at least 1 year in a project management, account management, or lead analyst/lead implementation role, with direct responsibility for at least one of the following:
o Overall EDI implementation
o Outsourcing of EDI functions
o Direction of development effort or lead development or architect role
o Specification, creation and testing of transformation programs, or
• 2-3 years of experience in both technical and team leadership roles in such projects as :
o HIPAA EDI implementations
o HL7 healthcare message implementations
o Healthcare clearinghouse implementation, maintenance, or integration
o Integration of healthcare applications such as Practice Management / Registration / Scheduling systems
• Experience as a business analyst, data analyst, mapper, or deployment specialist on EDI-related projects, with experience in or exposure to:
o Analysis of non-EDI back-end system data formats and ability to read pre/post processing
o Development of specification and functional mapping descriptions
o Creation of test cases and test plans
o Involvement in pre-production testing of EDI solutions with customers.

Travel Requirements:
This position does not require any travel.

Must be self-motivated and able to work in a fluid, fast-paced environment. A willingness to roll-up the sleeves and do whatever it takes to get the job done is essential. The ability to work well both individually as well as with others and strong interpersonal skills to manage relationships successfully in a cross-functional team environment is critical for this position. Demonstrated experience showing resourcefulness, a strong attention to detail and ability to follow through on commitments with minimal supervision are required.
