| Position Based in KAF, Afghanistan |
Duties: |
»Plan and lead cost estimates for medium to large-sized projects
» Prepare multi-discipline cost estimates for projects of all sizes
» Prepare estimates for project indirect costs
» Develop quantities from engineered or part-engineered design documentation
» Develop or assist others to develop project implementation plans including project delivery methodology,
contracting plan and the Project Master Schedules
» Source or assist others to source specific project cost quotes
» Maintain cost data bases
» Assist Project Supervisors/Managers to plan and source all related project information
» Liaise with peers, clients and other third parties in relation to developing estimates
» Perform contingency analyses
» Provide input into the monthly reporting on all key activities and issues
» May assist marketing in the acquisition of new works including proposal documentation and estimates of
manning, cost and time requirements |
Qualifications: |
» A tertiary qualification in Engineering, Project Management or a related discipline will be highly regarded
» Relevant industry and/or estimating experience
» Understanding of the principles of value engineering
» Excellent written and verbal communication skills
» Client service orientation
» Pragmatic and problem solving skills
» Proactive approach to work |
