Description: |
A group of part-time mechanical or controls engineering students are sought to join a fast-growing start-up company with a diverse, talented team of engineers and business professionals.
The company commercializes innovative technologies, such as advanced green technologies in the heavy-duty trucking industry. This position requires candidates to oversee and collect data throughout the durability, development and environmental testing of a new product. This position requires candidates with flexible hours.

Duties: |
• Interface across engineering/design disciplines, plant personnel, and dynamometer technicians.
• Ability to organize and feedback technical data.
• May require candidate to performing engineering calculations to determine speeds, loads, and other data required of product design and equipment. |
Qualifications: |
• Mechanical or electrical engineering concentration.
• At least 2 years of education or certification experience in relevant area.
• Familiarity with powertrains.
• Knowledge to apply technical knowledge and skills to repair, service, and maintain diesel engines.
• Ability to operate independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Candidates must exhibit good judgment and be dependable.
• Position requires flexible hours, including night and weekend.
• Experience or interest in start-up business and atmosphere with entrepreneurial desires.
• Must be able to make quick decisions and have problem solving skills.
• Communicate effectively, in writing and verbally, with clients and peers.
• Candidates must be able to perform conceptual problem solving.
• Proficient in Microsoft excel and ability to learn quickly.
