Our Internet-based system simplifies employee benefits administration with solutions that encompass all aspects of employee benefits enrollment/administration, employee benefits communications, and information and content for Human Resources Managers.
bswift’s award-winning technology significantly reduces administrative costs and time-consuming paperwork, improves Human Resources responsiveness, and enhances the employee benefits offering.
This position is based in the bswift corporate office located in downtown Chicago.
The primary focus of this position is to support the software, technology, and infrastructure used by bswift to deliver its world class Software as a Service application. |
Duties: |
- Configuration and optimization of web, application, and SQL servers
- Management of server releases and development of automated release processes
- Work with hosting vendor to manage servers and review server alerts and warnings
- Develop reporting metrics for system performance, and create a formal capacity planning strategy.
- Responsible for maintaining server configurations / setup, software release, and source control procedures documentation
- Hardware and Software procurement to support bswift infrastructure.
- Maintain office IT infrastructure including Active Directory, SharePoint, Symantec End-Point Protection and Symantec End-Point Encryption, Cisco Call Manager and Unity servers.
- Management and deployment of SSL Certificates
- Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware.
- Monitor and report on server resources, systems and key processes
- Review of system, application, and security logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as replication and backups.

Qualifications: |
- Bachelor Degree in a technology related discipline.
- Excellent knowledge of Windows 2008/2008R2 server, IIS, Active Directory, DNS, SMTP, and TCP/IP.
- Solid and demonstrated SQL Server experience in Microsoft SQL Server 2008-R2 including design, security and replication.
- Effective communication in both oral and written form as well as explaining technical concepts in non-technical terms to other staff members.
- Hardware / OS performance analysis and tuning, enhancements and corrective actions.
- Knowledge and experience following SSAE-16 (SAS-70) IT controls.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Knowledge of Robo Copy and Robo FTP / SFTP applications, and Crystal Reports.
- Knowledge of virtualization technology (VMWARE), private cloud and public cloud infrastructure including dedicated disk, NAS and SAN storage options.
- Disaster Recovery Planning and Business Continuity.
- LAN / WAN technologies including load balancing and firewalls.
- Experience with Team Foundation Server (TFS) 2010 deployment, administration and maintenance.
