Document Scanning Technician/Office Support (AZ)

Description:

Scanning Technicians are responsible for converting medical file and provider materials to digital format using a high-resolution scanner to create digital collections for billing and retention purposes. Office Support includes responsibility for in- and out-going mail, supplies, faxing, copying and other general office duties.

Duties:

Sorts and prepares documents of clinical and provider files to scan to computer database(s). Responsible for accurately indexing files/images.

Communicate with various departments to verify and make necessary correction(s) to patient and provider information to ensure accuracy as it pertains to records and billing.

Prepare, verify postage and organize outgoing mail daily, receive, sort and distribute in-coming mail.

Assist in the maintenance and stocking of office and other supplies.

Other projects as assigned, including faxing, copying, special projects.

Qualifications:

Strong computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office and document creation software are preferred. Knowledge of document imaging/scanning hardware and software, and experience creating electronic copies of documents preferred.

Must have strong attention to detail, be self-motivated, with excellent problem solving skills and possess strong verbal and written communication skills.

Minimum Qualifications:
Education: High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent

Relevant Work Experience: Prefer 1 prior year work experience in an office environment.

•PC, Scanner
•Mail Meter
•Fax, Copy Machine
