Description:

The Holiday Inn Express & Suites Santa Cruz is seeking a part-time Maintenance Tech to join our team and help maintain our new hotel of 100 guestrooms. We sport a culture of education, eco-friendly business practices and the ideal that family is an extremely powerful tool.

We are looking for someone that has general experience with electrical, plumbing, refrigeration and HVAC. The primary function of a Maintenance Tech is to assure the overall success of the hotel by meeting or exceeding the guest expectation for the working order of mechanical systems.

This position is a part-time position with standard hours of 8:30am-5pm on Saturday and Sunday. This part-time position has an hourly salary of $12-14 hour

The Holiday Inn Express & Suites Santa Cruz is owned and operated by BPR Properties of Palo Alto. BPR Properties is a small family owned and oriented company focusing its efforts in Northern California in the “Limited” and “Full Service” environments of the Hotel industry.

Duties:

The Tech will be responsible for the maintenance of furniture, fixtures and equipment throughout the hotel. They will assist with guest room calls and complete maintenance requests as they are called in. The Tech will also handle preventive maintenance projects, such as painting, changing out fixtures, clearing blockages in pipes, etc.

Qualifications:

Must have 4 years prior maintenance experience, 2 years with hotels preferred, and experience with an IHG property helpful. Excellent customer service and verbal skills is a must. The applicant must be able to push, pull, lift, and move up to 60 pounds.
