Description: |
Provides age and developmentally appropriate specialized nursing care to neonate through geriatric patients in the immediate post anesthesia period. Delivers patient care according to the Scope of Service for PACU. Adheres to and practices the SJMC Corporate Compliance Program and participates in Performance Improvement activities.
Provides care for the post-operative patients in PACU setting. Assists OR staff with transport of patients to OR & pulling of cases. Provides converage on call shifts for PACU Monday - Friday 2000-0800 & Weekends 0800-0800. Call shifts require 20 minute response time to SJMC. |
Qualifications: |
| Current Wyoming RN license. Two years Critical Care experience preferred and/or one-two years PACU experience preferred. Extensive pharmacologic knowledge of anesthetic medications, and narcotics desired. Knowledge of airway management, and intervention helpful. Good communication, interpersonal and customer services skills. Basic computer skills. Ability to function independently with strong critical thinking skills. Current BLS, ENPC or PALS, and ACLS certifications required at time of hire. |
