Description: |
Entry level position that processes teller transactions primarily received through the mail, the quick drop, the night drop, the MSC, the PFC, the Lending Dept, the Collection Dept, and by all similar methods. Assists and provides back up to the Teller Operations Department as need and as
assigned.
Work Schedule:
Monday – Friday 9:00am – 2:00pm (End Time is tentative depending on mail volume).

Duties: |
• Processes transactions (deposits, withdrawals, transfers, loan payments, coin counting,
domestic collections, foreign collections, etc.) presented by mail, by night depository, by
other credit union departments, by ATM depository, and by all similar methods.
• Ensures accuracy and legibility of all transaction postings and associated documentation.
• Assists the Teller Operations Department with questions and problems as is appropriate
for the current work load and transaction volume.
• Reconciles and proofs daily transactions and balances transaction totals to actual cash,
checks, and other negotiable items on hand. Researches transaction documentation to
locate and correct errors and out-of-balance conditions.
• Maintains out-of-balance conditions and totals within acceptable limits as established by
policy and procedure. |
Qualifications: |
• High school diploma, GED, or vocational equivalent required.
• Ability to analyze out-of-balance situations and devise solutions.
• Must be able to operate a computer terminal, coin counter, typewriter, money order
disburser, and similar devices. Must be able to write legibly and accurately complete
forms and other documentation.
• Must be able to project a positive, professional image through personal appearance and
demeanor.
• Must possess skills in basic mathematics, typing by touch, operating an adding machine,
money handling/counting, and operation of basic office machines.
• Must possess good verbal communication skills and be able to handle difficult or upset
members in sometimes stressful situations.
