Description:

We are seeking a Route Manager to direct the activities of drivers & helpers meeting the highest standards of safety, productivity and professional customer service. The Route Manager is the first line supervisor responsible for the productivity of the collection crews.

Duties:

Manage collection routes & directly responsible for supervision of drivers/helpers in performances of daily operations. Other duties may be assigned.

Plans routes, schedules drivers/helpers and coordinates daily operations.

Responds to customers inquires, special requests or complaints.

Interacts with city, state or municipal government employees to ensure customers are serviced per company standards in a timely manner.

Performs route audits to insure safety procedures are followed, identifies training needs, counsels employees and makes recommendations to increase productivity.

Monitors drivers/helpers time & attendance, completed route sheets & overtime.

Coordinates with Accounts Recievable , Customer Service & Sales concerning changes in customer service.

Responds to and investigates vehicle accidents, worker's compensation injuries and property damage claims.

Establishes and maintains a clean, safe work envirnment in compliance with company policies and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) Standards.

Qualifications:

Requires a High School diploma or equivalent. Preferred: College Degree

Equivalent experience in the transportation, management, logistics or waste indusrty.

Basic computer skills and general knowledge of Microsoft applications.

Previous supervisory or management experience preferred.

Knowledge of OSHA, DOT and other related federal, state & local regulations.

Valid class A or B commercial drivers license meeting the companies insurance requirements.
