Welder (Sherman, TX)

Description:

Progress Rail Services Corporation, a Caterpillar Company and a leading provider of services to the Railroad industry in the US, Canada, Mexico, and Brazil, seeks a production welder for the purpose of welding steel plates and frog components as part of our manufacturing process.

Duties:

• GMAW welding
• Steel welding

Qualifications:

• Prior welding experience and/or certification required.
• MUST have experience with Mig welding.
• Must pass welding test.
• Must be able to stand in one place for an extended period of time.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs repetitively, as well as frequent twisting and bending, to meet fast paced work demands. Position requires exposure to dust and dirt from rails.
• Work is performed inside/outside and applicant must be able to withstand all weather conditions.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Pre-employment drug screen, physical, and background check required for employment.
• Participation in random drug screening is a condition of continued employment.
