1. ACT, REGULATIONS AND CODES:
The candidate is expected to be able to locate information relating to the staffing, operation, maintenance, inspection, and testing of the equipment:
a. Technical Standards & Safety as Defined by Equipment Manufacturer
b. Operating Guidelines as Defined by Equipment Manufacturer
c. Preventive Maintenance Procedures
d. Proper Repair Procedures as Defined by Equipment Manufacturer
2. SAFETY:
The candidate is expected to be able to fully explain the dangers associated with the operation of production equipment. Demonstrate the proper use of Lock Out Tag Out on Production Equipment. Demonstrate the proper use of Hot Work Permit.
3. OPERATION:
The candidate is expected to be able to answer examination questions as they relate to the operation, maintenance and the management of the production equipment. Perform tasks associated with qualifications of C mechanics.
The candidate is expected to properly perform preventive maintenance on production equipment by following set practices by manufacturer and employer guidelines.
The candidate is expected to properly perform service on production equipment by following set practices by manufacturer and employer guidelines.
4. SKILL SETS:
The candidate is expected to be able to execute the following skills:
a. Soldering of copper pipe
b. Proper use of an electrical meter for troubleshooting, both in A/C and D/C
c. Read Blueprints and schematics
d. Troubleshoot pneumatic components
e. Basic mechanical skills
5. LAYOUT:
The candidate is expected to be able to layout electrical for electrical load based on
mechanical installations of equipment.
The candidate is expected to be able to layout pneumatic supply lines based on load for equipment.
