Description: |
| The person in this position is responsible for maintaining facilities and associated records related to the operation of water and waste water plants. |
Duties: |
Timely Completion of Local, State and Federal environmental reports as required.
Develop, implement, and maintain procedures and protocols to ensure compliance with permit requirements
Identify and resolve safety issues
Evaluate new treatment chemistries and processes
Maintain pertinent records and files as needed
Maintain facility cleanliness
Stay current with operator training requirements to maintain TCHS as required by Certification Board.
Identify opportunities for continuous improvement for the operation and maintenance of assigned facilities with Senior Service Technician
Interact with Senior Service Technician to ensure proper operation and compliance of facility.
Interact with maintenance department to ensure proper facilitation of maintenance request forms.
Interact with clients and regulatory agencies as necessary
Maintain adequate chemical and supply inventories
Interact with subcontractors as necessary
Meet with clients as necessary to discuss issues and concerns
Act on behalf of Senior Service Technician in his/her absence. Perform necessary duties as they arise to ensure matters are addressed in a timely manner.
Maintain manuals such as O & M s, SOPs, and Lab manuals, update as necessary
Other duties as required

Qualifications: |
High school Diploma or equivalent combination of experience.
Minimum of three years experience as well as mechanical and computer skills
Experience shall include, but not be limited to: Small Wastewater package plants troubleshooting, operation, and maintenance. Collection and analysis of wastewater and water, hazardous material storage and containment, and knowledge of portable sampling equipment
Basic knowledge of MA regulatory requirements
Must possess a Grade 4 M Full Massachusetts operators certification
Must possess valid drivers license
Must be computer literate
Familiarity with nutrient removal and an understanding of groundwater permits
