Description:

This is a seasonal position.  Serve food and beverages to guests of National Park Inn (Longmire), a casual family-style dining room. You must be able to work until Oct 30 and be 21 or older

Duties:

*Know dining room menu as well as daily specials; be able to describe same to guests in accordance with Guest Services standards. *Know wine list and be able to recommend appropriate wines to accompany entrees. *Take orders from guests and follow prescribed procedures in placing orders with cook and pantry lines. *Carry food to dining room using trays and tray jacks. *Perform side duties in accordance with Manager's direction. *Performs such other related duties as directed or required.

Qualifications:

One year Server experience in high-volume casual dining restaurant preferred.  21 or older. Must be able to speak clearly and listen attentively to guests, supervisors and employees. Must be able to write legibly as well as read and understand directions and instructions. Appearance must be in compliance with company guidelines. Must wear company approved slip resistant  shoes.  Must have current Washington State food handlers and MAST certification within 30 days.Will be required to perform diverse physical tasks. Must be able to stoop, bend, grasp, kneel, handle, reach and squat. Extensive walking on hardwood floors. Good physical energy, stamina, and agility. Must withstand exposure to wet floors. Must be able to continuously lift and lower a serving tray weighing approximately 25 pounds without assistance. Must be service and safety oriented. Must possess a sense of awareness, timelines, urgency, humor, and common sense.  Must be able to adapt to the isolation of park life.
