| This is a seasonal position from May to Oct. Wash and properly store all dishes, pots and pans relating to restaurant operations. Maintain the dish area and dish machine in a sanitary and efficient manner. Keep dry storage and walk-ins clean. Keep employee dining room stocked and cleaned; help any restaurant staff if needed. |
Duties: |
Responsible for dish machine operation, including break down, checking to make sure it is operating properly, and water and insides are kept clean. Wash pots and pans by hand as needed. Keep dish area clean along with dry storage areas and walk-in floors. Remove all trash from kitchen and place in designated area. All trash cans to be kept double lined and in sanitary condition. Clean up spills in all kitchen and EDR areas. Keep up with cooks' demands for clean dishes and sauté pans during busy times of restaurant operations. Help cooks when they need assistance getting stock for line production. Help Day Porter and Kitchen Clerk put away incoming stock. Help all restaurant staff that needs assistance. Responsible for stocking employee dining room with all necessary eating utensils, plates, cups.Performs such other related duties as directed or required |
Qualifications: |
Must be able to speak clearly and listen attentively. Must be able to write legibly as well as read and understand directions and instructions. Appearance must be in compliance with company guidelines; must provide company approved slip resistant shoes. Will be required to perform diverse physical tasks. Must be able to stoop, bend, grasp, and perform repetitive motions. Some walking and stair climbing. Good physical energy, stamina and agility. Exposure to wet floors. Must be able to stand for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds frequently with assistance. Must be service and safety oriented. Must possess a sense of awareness, timelines, urgency, humor, and common sense. Must be able to adapt to the isolation of national park life. |
