Description:

Proaxis Therapy is looking for a dynamic therapist to join their team in South Carolina.

Working as a team with patients and physicians, the therapists at Proaxis Therapy bring together the most innovative methods, advanced research, and proven skills for the treatment of injuries.

Duties:

•Evaluates patients utilizing appropriate tests and measurements to determine the physical therapy problem/level of function and the recommended treatment/discharge plan.
•Promotes and has knowledge of and utilizes appropriate patient care protocol relating to the physical, psychosocial, and developmental needs for neonatal, pediatric, adult and geriatric patient.
•Establishes physical therapy interventions based upon the evaluation and examination, physician orders, and patients goals for therapy.
•Competently performs appropriate physical therapy techniques and procedures.
•Provides for continuity of patient care through written and verbal communication with other health care professionals.
•Makes recommendations for needed patient care equipment prior to patient discharge and assists with acquisition of same as appropriate.
•Documents findings, patient progress, and all procedures performed within established time frames.
•Submits all patient billing at the end of each day.
•Instructs patients/family members in home programs.
•Demonstrates effective time management.
•Complies with quality improvement standards.
•Participates in organizational committees as assigned.
•Participates in assigned aspects of affiliated PT/PTA student training.

Qualifications:

Education: Graduation from an approved school of physical therapy.
Licensure: Current physical therapy license in the State of South Carolina.
Other Qualifications: Current CPR certification, knowledge and skills necessary to provide patient care which is age specific/appropriate for patients served. Basic computer knowledge. Excellent interpersonal skills to enable positive interactions with patients/families, and other health care professionals.
