Description:

Position is responsible for monitoring and adjusting throughout the department

Duties:

 

Monitors equipment throughout shift for proper operation and makes necessary adjustments and repairs to maximize the efficiency of the equipment.      Responsible to identify opportunities for improvement and to communicate those to supervisor or lead person.      Conducts scheduled preventative maintenance on equipment.      Assists in performing various quality, yield, and performance indicator checks.Assists maintenance department in the repair, modification and construction of equipment and structure as needed including initiating work orders.     Maintains proper records on all equipment.     Observes all company personnel, quality, safety, and food safety policies.     Gathers feedback from production employees on a regular basis on how the equipment, work stations, and product flow is functioning.      Maintains a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner so that you work effectively and cooperatively with customers, clients, coworkers, and leadership teams.  Perform other duties as assigned. 

Qualifications:

        High School diploma or equivalency; or one to three months related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience (to be determined by department supervisor).  Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.       Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions.Have the ability to work with minimal direct supervision.       Excellent mechanical aptitude and abilities in order to analyze, evaluate, and solve mechanical problems.       Excellent communication skills.      Experience in the operation of maintenance power tools.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms.  The employee frequently is required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.  While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts and is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions.  The noise level is usually loud and hearing protection is mandatory.
