Description:

We are seeking General Manager candidates in CA. The SPECTRUM GM is considered the “mayor” of the club and is responsible for effective and profitable club operations while maintaining an exceptional environment for members and employees. This position has full P&L accountability and is responsible for providing day-to-day leadership to all departments within the club.

Duties:

Among other things our GM’s –
• Are the “front of house” leaders, who ensure that the club consistently offers a superior member experience in terms of hospitality, cleanliness, programming, creating a sense of community and a commitment to helping members achieve their goals
• Lead with a passion and by example through recruiting, training and motivating the highest quality service staff, establishing the highest performance standards and holding staff accountable for results
• Are fitness industry experts who also possesses a thorough knowledge and understanding of the membership sales process, personal training, and club operations
• Are profit-oriented with the ability to balance a best business approach with the importance of achieving financial objectives and making appropriate adjustments to ensure success.

Qualifications:

• A well organized, “customer-centric,” trustworthy team player who employs sound and accurate judgment and exhibits a high level of personal integrity.
• Someone who can demonstrate a proven ability to lead and motivate people and to embrace the club vision and plan of action.
• A fitness industry expert who also posses a thorough knowledge and understanding of the membership sales process.
• A builder -- driven towards success, determined, full of zest, and has a passion for improving the member experience while growing and developing the Club.
• A person with a business acumen and innate aptitude to understand and demonstrate CORE values that are common in all Spectrum clubs (Community, Options, Results, Experience).

And you have:
• Minimum 5 years of Fitness Industry or Gym/Club management experience with hands-on working expertise managing a 20K sq ft. fitness club with at least 1,500 members
• High level of energy and enthusiasm, with a passion for the business.
• Excellent and effective interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
• Exceptional organizational skills including planning, prioritizing, follow-through, and delegation.
• Demonstrated track record of success and expertise in the following areas:
o High-touch customer service environment
o New member sales in a high-end service environment.
o Commitment to guest satisfaction and retention.
o Leading and managing multiple departments/functions.
• P&L accountability, with clear understanding of budgeting, evaluating monthly business performance and adjusting plans to reflect results, and developing monthly and quarterly action plans.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business or Health/Fitness-related field or equivalent combination of education and related industry experience.
