Position Summary & Special Duties:

This role is for a talented graphic designer who can apply their strong visual sense to the creative development of print and packaging design. As part of the in-house creative team and reporting to the Creative Director the Graphic Designer is responsible for design/redesign and pre-production for all packaging, point of sale, and promotional materials. The candidate will work closely with packaging engineers and production insuring that the creative is appropriate for the particular production process. We’re looking for a creative, thorough, and innovative team player that thrives in a demanding, fast-moving environment, while always keeping the brand personal and strategic marketing objectives in mind.

The Graphic Designer works with the Marketing team to produce core brand elements. In addition, the Graphic Designer is responsible for the maintenance of brand standards and ensuring the consistency of visual brand expression in all external communications, and across all marketing vehicles. The candidate will work on-site in our Blacksburg office.

Qualifications:

• Four-year college degree. Education in Graphic Design Preferred
• Command of leading design software, Adobe Creative Suite, QuarkXPress
• Very good Microsoft Office skills
• Efficient production habits
• Excellent project management skills
• Self-motivated and thrive in a multidisciplinary team
• Ability to develop innovative designs on short deadlines
• Web and multimedia design experience a plus
