Description: | | Provides assistance to the lending staff so that the staff can provide efficient service to the members. | Duties: | ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Prepares and files loan documentation and related materials daily.
• Gathers loan information from files for special projects and populates spreadsheets.
• Scans processed loan documentation.
• Releases collateral by making sure loan is paid in full, then releases auto and mortgage liens from the property. Receives release requests from members in person, telephonically and by a report administered weekly for automobiles and monthly for mortgages.
• Verifies signature cards on new accounts are received from all branches.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Consistently demonstrates a positive attitude toward our members and other employees, in compliance with our Service Standards.
• Serves as back up assembling the necessary documents for titling of all securities on loans (in and out of state vehicles), mortgages and UCC forms. Maintains the national title manual to assure proper titling conveyance.
• Serves as back up in processes dealership payoffs by verifying that the title work is accurate and complete. Disburses the funds accordingly with proper identification.
• Serves as back up in maintaining and updating data required to complete the HMDA Report.
• Assists the Service Professional II and Sr. Financial Specialists with clerical duties.
Serves as back up when needed to administer the MBI and GAP programs for the credit union membership and directs to the insurance agent, Allied. Also, helps with Collateral Protection Insurance duties.
• Reviews paid ahead report monthly.
• Performs other duties as required and needed.
| Qualifications: | KNOWLEDGE
• Requires general knowledge of clerical duties in an office environment such as filing, typing, filming and faxing.
• Requires a working knowledge of the Windows operating system.
• Requires a working knowledge of interoffice email.
• Requires a working knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications.
• Requires a working knowledge of credit union operations, policies and procedures that apply to the position.
• Requires at least six STAR modules per year.
• Requires CUES online training, at least six courses per year.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
• Ability to operate computer keyboard and perform member account maintenance.
• Ability to read computer screen and printouts.
• Ability to identify problem areas and make independent decisions to resolve problems as they relate to standard operating procedures. Problems that arise out of normal daily operation are to be communicated to the Loan Manager.
• Ability to perform well under stressful situations.
• Ability to communicate with members and other employees verbally, in writing and on the phone.
• Ability to type 35 words per minute.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent.
• Ability to recognize and follow credit union structure, goals and chain of command.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instruction.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
• High school diploma or equivalent. |
