Duties: |
·Works with marketing and communications coordinator. Creates materials that can have a definite impact on production at MBS. ·Creates innovative graphic materials such as posters, ads, etc. as required by Recruitment and Public Relations Departments. ·Creates and distributes internal and external PR/Communications for MBS. ·Assists with coordinating public relations activities to include: special mailings, delivering information, special events, campaigns, donor recognition, and other special projects. ·Teams with PR/Communications Manager for efficient and effective completion of projects. ·Makes decisions for completion of departmental projects in absence of manager. ·Maintains strict confidentiality when dealing with sensitive departmental information. ·Provides support to hospital relations and donor resources. ·Develops advertisements for local/regional marketing. ·Provides media assistance in the absence of the PR Manager. |
Qualifications: |
A bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in Public Relations or a related fireld; or two to three years related experience/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience and a stable work history. Must also have a valid MS driver's license with a good driving record. OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Proficient with computer data entry skills and office software applications including Quark, Adobe Illustrator, Indesign, and Photoshop. A working knowledge of blood center operations. Ability to work regular hours, unless approved by manager. Excellent clerical, organizational and time management skills. Good teamwork and customer relations skills. An understanding of the graphic media. Detail oriented Requires an individual who is capable of connecting quickly with people in a supportive and enthusiastic way. Work cooperatively with and through others in order to complete a task. Ability to work with a strong sense of urgency, initiative, and drive to get things done correctly in a fast paced, multi-task environment. Capable of making decisions under pressure within authorized boundaries, obtaining the advice and ideas of others as appropriate in the decision-making process DRUG SCREEN REQUIRED.
