OPR 3207 NPI Sourcing Supervisor

Organizes, directs and facilitates the purchasing group consistent with manager's direction, Global Sourcing Strategic Plan, business and enterprise goals.

Direct management of staff including resources such as supplier managers, purchasing coordinators and SQEs including:

• Assignment of work, capacity management and performance management
• Budget responsibility for department - development and execution
• Drive compliance to documented processes and procedures
• Drive continuous improvement to documented processes and procedures
• Fulfills responsibilities for supplier management activities where assigned
• Communication for department of business direction, initiatives, etc.
• Participate in staff level planning
• Drive performance to established metrics and goals
• Participation in development of strategic planning and implementation

In NPI, also perform the following functions:

• Drive development and execution of sourcing strategies within the commodities to support program targets and timeliness.
• Provide and drive escalation paths for supplier performance issues.
• Drive and develop processes to improve project performance (early supplier involvement, risk management, etc).
• Responsible to facilitate effective transition of product to production.
• Ability to supervise remotely.
• Ability to develop direct reports.
• Provide cross-location process integration support.
• Ability to manage tactically but lead strategically.
• Manage cross-location collaboration and understand necessary/required infrastructure.
• Identify and lead sourcing PLC process development, implementation and CI, with alignment to standard PLC process.
• Facilitate sourcing alignment to A&T strategies related to NPI projects
• Metric management
• Key sourcing focal point to drive technical roadmap requirements to commodities for strategic planning.
• Key sourcing representative in NPI gate review meetings.

• BA or BS or equivalent experience
• APICS Certification desired

• Industrial manufacturing-based experience
• 3-5 years purchasing experience
• 2-3 years leadership experience
