ABOUT LIGHTSKY

LightSky is seeking an experienced, motivated and tech savvy Account Manager to develop and maintain relationships with new and existing clients.

LightSky is a web design and software development firm that has worked with hundreds of clients since its founding in 1999. Using current web technologies we build made-to-order, web-based tools such as content management systems, shopping carts, intranets, and extranets. Because each client is unique, each project is unique – there are no cookie-cutter solutions or templates because one size doesn’t fit all.

Duties:

JOB DESCRIPTION

This is intended to be an overview of primary responsibilities for this role. Special projects and activities may also be created.

Customer Relationship Building/Sales
-Builds and maintains customers relationships.
-Compiles lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads, based on information from the marketplace.
-Emphasizes salable features, prepares estimates, quotes prices and credit terms, and prepares sales orders for orders obtained.
-Handles inbound sales lead calls to convert calls into sales in effort to raise company sales and market share.
-Makes outbound lead follow up calls to potential and existing customers by telephone and e-mail to qualify leads and sell products and services.
-Overcomes technical and business objections of prospective customers.
-Provides product demos to qualified customers on request.
-Responsible for maintaining ongoing sales and marketing functions to gain information about competitors and assigned account base while capturing information in a database.

Information Management & Reporting
-Estimates date of delivery to customer, based on knowledge of own firm's production and delivery schedules.
-Investigates and resolves customer problems with deliveries.
-Prepares reports of business transactions.

Qualifications:

Business related college degree preferred, not required. Experience or interest in software technology and web solutions required. Must be technically-oriented while being a top performer in sales and client relations. Business development and gaining new sales opportunities should be seen as a challenge and exciting growth opportunity.
