| Facilities Supervisor HIRING RANGE: $19.85 - $22.35/hr. - DOQ includes benefits FLSA: Exempt DEPARTMENT: Administration ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Manage facilities maintenance (Library's main campus of buildings and all branches in Mesa County), responsible for obtaining competitive bids and supervising the actual work vendors perform in the areas of: plumbing, carpentry, painting, masonry, lighting, mechanical, and electrical servicing to the organization's facilities. Responsible for all applicable codes and compliance requirements. Maintain mechanical, structural, electrical, ventilation, security, and communication systems integrity throughout all facilities owned and leased. Assist in the oversight of the Library's emergency & safety programs. Supervise custodial and maintenance staff. Responsible for managing the building maintenance, maintenance equipment and maintenance supply budgets. Perform other duties as assigned. WORKING CONDITIONS: Frequent exposure to fumes or airborne particles and may be exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals. Must work with cleaning chemicals and must be able to properly dilute, use and ensure their own safety as well as other who may come in contact with the chemicals. Exposure to varying conditions including extreme heat, extreme cold, rain or snow. Regular work near moving mechanical parts MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: High School graduation or equivalent 3-5 years of construction superintendent experience or facilities supervision experience.
