Description: |
Responsible for splicing multiple conductor cables to repair; upgrade and maintain telephone communications and transmission systems in aerial, underground and direct buried applications. Maintain outside plant facilities copper and fiber optic cable. Reports to Plant/Network Manager - Brevard. |
Duties: |
Perform the splicing and testing that service orders, job orders and projects require. Maintain outside plant facilites (troubleshoot, test, repair and replace) copper and fiber optic cable. Problems encountered typically vary in terms of cause and affect, degree of complexity and the required solution. Locate underground facilities when necessary. Splice coax cable when repairing damaged buried facilities. |
Qualifications: |
High School Diploma or equivalent. Must have at least 5 years of related experience; prefer installation, repair and construction background. Cannot be afraid of heights and must have valid Driver's License - DOT. Equal Opportunity Employer/Contractor. |
